Eat: Steamed Prawn with Ginger & Hua Tiao Chiew

I know this looking very gingery, but it does taste real good, it has somewhat kicking in it 🙂

Another really important thing I can never leave out on this is Hua Tiao Chiew (Chinese Rice Wine).

First off, get those bad boys clean, cut open the back and get rid of those black line (you know what that black line thingy I’m talking about) then you have the clean prawn ready for you to dash some of Hua Tiao Chiew Rice wine, a pinch of salt and julienne ginger (pick those a bit matured one as it gives out really good kick and the strong aroma – in a good way of course)

Let them prawns sit on that rice wine for about 5 minutes, before you start steaming your baby. Once the steamer is ready the water is boiled, chuck them in and let it steam for about 5-8 minutes, I don’t really want my prawns to be over-steamed because that can make it taste really dry.

Right, after all that said and done – voila! the prawns ready  for ya! Enjoy!
